When I faced Volcán de Fuego

A few years ago, while on assignment for the Des Moines Register, I faced the currently erupting Volcán de Fuego near Antigua, Guatemala.  I was in the area following residents from the town of Postville, Iowa who were deported as part of a immigration raid.  I spent a week and was able to get these photos, granted it wasn’t erupting at the time, but I did get to see it none the less.  Go to CNN to get update info on Fuego.
